TEXAS ATTORNEY ANDY TOLCHIN

Andy Tolchin has been practicing law for nearly a decade and has handled matters large and small.

Andy is licensed to practice law before all State Courts of Texas (Civil and Criminal) including District Courts, Family Courts, Courts of Appeals, County Courts, Justice of the Peace Courts, and the Supreme Court of Texas. 

Andy has had experience with the 14th District Court of Appeals, the Harris County Civil Courts, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, class actions, jury selection, personal injury matters, criminal matters, corporate filings and business matters, traffic court, utility law, telecommunications law, property loss matters, property damage matters, depositions, witness preparation, trials, hearings, and appeals.  

Andy graduated from South Texas College of Law (annually rated by US News and World Report as a top school for courtroom advocacy preparation) where Andy won the school’s own Mock Trial Tournament.  Andrew is a graduate of Vassar College where he majored in Political Science. Andrew won a variety of awards for public speaking while competing against Ivy League and other prestigious schools. Andrew is interested in Texas history.

In addition to all Texas State Courts, Andy is authorized to practice before the federal court of the Southern District of Texas as well as all State Courts in New York.  Andy even has represented clients in litigation matters before the Supreme Court of the State of New York. Andy has appeared in Federal Court in the Southern District of New York.

Andy has been interviewed and consulted for legal commentary by journalists of networks and affiliates on legal matters including KHOU, NBC (Today Show), Tribune Broadcasting, and other media sources. 

Read, for example, an article about Andrew’s involvement in class actions brought against Sprint for overbilling of consumers who misdialed Operator Service Providers such as MCI (1-800-COLLECT) and AT&T (1-800-CALL-ATT).  Andy’s work on the Operator Service Provider matter ultimately resulted in the FCC levying millions in fines (the largest ever at that time).
